Understanding the Bovis Scale: Energetic Frequency, Coherence and Potential
What is the Bovis scale?
The Bovis scale is a radiesthetic scale used to describe the perceived energetic frequency, coherence and potential of a person, organ, food, object, substance, building or natural location. A reading is usually made with a pendulum and a calibrated chart. The practitioner defines clearly what is being measured, observes the pendulum response and interprets the resulting value in context.
A Bovis value is not a conventional physical measurement. It does not represent electrical power, calories, joules, radiation dose or the quantity of energy stored in the body. A person with a higher value does not necessarily have more physical strength, stamina or medical health than someone with a lower value.
Within the BioMeri framework, a Bovis score is interpreted as an indication of:
- energetic frequency;
- coherence of the energetic field;
- latent potential;
- capacity to support vitality and regeneration;
- ability to influence people or surroundings;
- compatibility between a person and an object, food, room or location;
- stability and organisation of the measured field.
Potential, not guaranteed achievement
The clearest way to understand a Bovis score is to compare it with natural athletic potential.
Imagine a person born with an unusually strong cardiovascular system and the physiological potential to become one of the best cyclists in the world. If they never choose cycling, never train and never build discipline, they will not achieve what their body could theoretically support. Among untrained friends they may still perform well in a short uphill sprint — but that is very different from becoming a professional.
Now imagine another person whose natural potential is more ordinary — better than only 30 percent of cyclists. If this person trains every day, follows a professional programme and stays disciplined for years, they may still reach the top riders in the world. The second person may achieve much more than the first, even though their natural potential was lower.
A Bovis score works in a similar way. It indicates what energetic potential appears to be available. It does not show how much of that potential has been developed, trained or consciously directed.
What a high Bovis score may indicate in a person
A high Bovis reading may indicate stronger potential to affect the atmosphere of a room, influence or inspire other people, appear charismatic or convincing, become a natural leader, support others during healing work, respond strongly to bioenergy methods, and create a noticeable personal presence.
This potential can be used constructively, unconsciously or destructively. One person with a high value may become a healer, teacher, artist or responsible leader. Another with a similar value may use the same energetic influence to seek control, admiration or personal power. A high Bovis score therefore does not automatically indicate wisdom, compassion or spiritual development.
Why famous leaders may have high Bovis and lower Hawkins
Natural leaders and charismatic personalities often carry a strong energetic field — people notice them and may feel drawn to follow. This can correspond with a high Bovis reading. However, the Hawkins scale may show that the person expresses this influence through pride, anger, fear or control rather than through acceptance, reason, compassion or peace. This is why Bovis and Hawkins are measured separately:
- Bovis indicates the strength, coherence and potential of the energetic field.
- Hawkins indicates the level of consciousness through which that potential is expressed.
Measuring organs, people, food and spaces
Organs. A Bovis reading of an organ is interpreted as its energetic potential, coherence and reserve. A lower reading may suggest the organ is using more resources than it receives; a higher reading may suggest stronger reserve and regenerative potential. It does not prove medical health or diagnose disease — it is most useful for comparing organs, left and right sides, or changes over time.
A person. A general reading reflects overall coherence and potential of the field, and may vary with health, emotional pressure, sleep, fatigue, environment, recent stress and contemplative practice. Repeated measurements often reveal more than a single result, because they show whether the field is stable, improving or declining.
Food, water and supplements. A higher value may indicate a more coherent, vital field — but a high general value does not mean the item is suitable for every person. Keep two questions separate: what is the general energetic value of the substance, and is it compatible with this particular person?
Living spaces. The scale can evaluate homes, bedrooms, offices and land. A lower reading may indicate a draining space affected by geopathic stress or technical radiation; a higher reading may indicate a calming, regenerative space suitable for rest, therapy or focused work. Different points in the same room can differ, so one central reading is not enough.
Why natural and sacred locations may show high values
Radiesthetic charts often compare higher Bovis values with churches, megalithic sites, pyramids, mountains, crystals or sacred locations. These places are believed to show stronger energetic coherence because of combinations such as geology, underground water, orientation, geometry, stone mass, altitude, long-term ritual use and collective human attention.
Stonehenge, for example, is often placed around the 12,000 Bovis range on traditional charts. Its value is not interpreted as a large quantity of physical energy — it is understood as a stable, organised field associated with its geometry, orientation, stones and long relationship with ritual and human attention. These comparisons are radiesthetic reference points, not scientifically verified measurements.
Why context and relative values matter
The same number can mean different things depending on what is being measured. A reading of 12,000 Bovis can indicate good potential in a person, strong reserve in an organ, highly vital food, a supportive space, or an unusually coherent natural location. The number should never be interpreted without identifying the subject.
Often the relationship between readings is more informative than one isolated number — one kidney measuring much lower than the other, a bedroom measuring lower than the rest of the home, or a person’s reading rising after therapy and falling again after returning to a particular environment.
Bovis and personal development
A high Bovis potential becomes more useful when combined with discipline, self-awareness, ethical direction, emotional maturity, responsibility and developed consciousness. Without these qualities, a strong field may remain unused or be directed mainly toward ego, control or ambition. The most constructive result is therefore not simply a high Bovis score — it is a strong energetic field expressed through a developed Hawkins level.
Short summary
The Bovis scale is a radiesthetic system used to describe energetic frequency, coherence and potential. It does not measure how much physical energy a person has. A high score indicates that stronger potential or influence may be present, but actual results depend on development, discipline, health, intention and consciousness.
Bovis shows the potential of the energetic field. Hawkins shows the level of consciousness through which that potential is expressed.
The Bovis result describes the perceived energetic frequency, coherence and potential of the measured person, organ, object or location. It does not measure the quantity of physical energy or actual performance. This is a symbolic energetic reading and not medical, scientific or diagnostic advice.
